Boy killed and four others flown to hospital after crash

A five-year-old boy has died and four others are in hospital after a crash near Clermont.

About 3.50pm yesterday, emergency services were called to the Gregory Development Road at Kilcummin following reports a white Foton Tunland had lost control and rolled.

The boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, a 29-year-old Townsville woman was flown to Mackay Hospital in a stable condition with significant head, leg and pelvic injuries.

Three other patients were flown to Townsville Hospital including a three-year old boy with significant head injuries who was in a life-threatening condition, a 30-year-old man in a potentially life threatening condition, and a one-year-old boy with minor injuries.

Investigations are ongoing.
