Tom Holland, beloved actor known for his role as Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has shared that he is a self-proclaimed LEGO fan since childhood and is now the star of LEGO’s latest campaign, Never Stop Playing, which encourages kids and adults alike to embrace creativity and play at any age.

In the vibrant short film Never Stop Playing, Holland takes on a variety of playful personas, from a superstar footballer to an entrepreneur and even an undercover LEGO minifigure. Each character delivers the same message: play is essential, no matter how old you are. The film features spectacular LEGO creations, including rocket-powered shoes, a phoenix built mid-flight, and oversized LEGO footballs and wildlife. Holland is even seen clicking two LEGO bricks together, symbolizing the choice to embrace playfulness in life.

This collaboration is a full-circle moment for Holland, who fondly recalls his childhood love of LEGO. “I loved building with LEGO bricks as a child. My brothers and I would create our own wild worlds, turning the living room into a prehistoric jungle with our LEGO dinosaur set or set up racing tracks for our LEGO cars! It was fun to relive those memories on set. Becoming an official ‘Playmaker’ is very cool. No matter how busy life gets, I’ve never stopped playing… and I don’t plan to anytime soon!” he shared.

Holland also emphasized the importance of play in his life, both personally and professionally. “I hope that this short film I did with the LEGO Group demonstrates the idea that to play is a way of expressing who we are no matter what age! For me, it’s always been an important element of exploring the world and embracing the environment I’m in. Whether I’m on set or just hanging out with my brother and mates, I try to bring an element of play into everything I do.”

Fans of Holland will also spot a fun Easter egg in the film: his real-life brothers, Sam and Harry, make a surprise appearance. Together, the trio celebrates the joy of staying playful and connected.

Holland joins an impressive roster of LEGO Playmakers, a group of global artists and creatives who embody curiosity, courage, and imagination. His collaboration with the LEGO Group extends to the real world as well. Starting in September 2025, LEGO builds featured in Never Stop Playing, including a brick-built football, a megaphone, and Holland’s full-sized LEGO Botanicals custom suit, will be displayed at the LEGO House for fans to enjoy.

It’s a great reminder that there’s no age limit to having fun. So why stop playing when the possibilities are endless?
