Kelso RBT leads to drug bust
A random breath test has resulted in a large drug bust at Kelso.
Officers stopped a Peugeot containing two men for the RBT on Sunday.
Police will allege, following the initial interaction, the officers conducted a search of the vehicle and located $21,000 in cash, 48 grams of methylamphetamine and one gram of cannabis.
A 37-year-old Kirwan man was charged with three counts of drug possession, and one count each of possessing tainted property, possessing anything used in the commission of a crime and possessing property suspected of being acquired for the purpose of committing a drug offence.
He is due to appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on July 8.
A 47-year-old Charters Towers man was charged with possessing dangerous drugs and is due to appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on July 4.
