Two pedestrians hit by cars in Townsville

A man and a child have been hospitalised following separate vehicle and pedestrian incidents in Townsville.

Around 5.50pm yesterday, critical care paramedics were called to Thuringowa Central following reports a boy had been struck by a car.

The child has been taken to Townsville Hospital in a stable condition, after the incident at the intersection of Hervey Range Road and Riverway Drive.

Then around 10.15pm, a man in his 20s was struck by a vehicle on Palmerston Street in Pimlico.

Paramedics attended and have taken the man to Townsville Hospital in a stable condition with minor leg injuries.
