Police have made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) in relation to an ongoing incident in Garbutt, Townsville.

The warning relates to an area that encompasses Clarke Street, Dearness Street, Douglas Street, Ramsay Street and Chandler Street.

Police is advising us to avoid the area.
