Driver Critical Following Collision With Semi-Trailer At Bluewater
UPDATE ~ A person has died following a two-vehicle crash at Bluewater on Wednesday.
It is believed that at around 4:30AM a B-double truck and a sedan collided on the Bruce Highway.
The driver of the sedan died at the scene. Their identity has not been released.
The man driving the B-double was uninjured.
The Bruce Highway remains closed and the Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
Anyone who may have witnessed, stopped or left the scene prior to police or emergency services arriving, as well as anyone who has relevant dashcam vision are asked to contact police.
EARLIER ~ A truck driver has escaped injury after the B-double he was driving collided with a car at Bluewater on Wednesday, but the other driver was not so lucky.
Paramedics were called to the Bruce Highway just after 4:30AM.
The driver of a sedan was assessed for critical injuries but not transported to hospital according to Paramedics.
Motorists are being warned to expect delays in the area.
Some media outlets are reporting that the driver has not survived but Police will only say that they are contacting the next of kin.
