Light Plane Crashes In FNQ
A light plane with two people on board crashed in Far North Queensland on Saturday morning.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said emergency services were called to the scene along Ray Road at Mareeba just before 11.30am.
Paramedics treated two patients who had suffered critical injuries.
The cause of the crash is unclear and investigations are underway.
The North Queensland Aero Club posted on Facebook and said the crash was unrelated from its operations.
