Million-Dollar Discovery For Lucky Locals
Ten Townsville locals are unable to wipe the smiles off their faces after their Monday and Wednesday Gold Lotto syndicate scored division one in Monday night’s draw.
The North Queensland entry was the only division one winning entry nationally, taking home a share of $1 million.
Each member of the syndicate will pocket $100,313.74.
The winning syndicate was sold at Mooney News & Lotto in Gulliver.
Mooney News & Lotto owner Andrew Taylor said he had a sleepless night after discovering his store had sold the million-dollar winning entry.
“This is going to change so many lives,” he said.
“Our ten customers are going to be absolutely over the moon!
“All shares are registered but one, so I can’t wait to break this incredible news over and over again.
“This syndicate is only about eight weeks old and there hasn’t been a week where it hasn’t won a prize.
“It’s made up of mostly regular customers.
“We’re absolutely thrilled!” he said.
