Motorcyclist Fighting For Life Following Crash At Douglas
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious motorbike crash on Townsville’s outskirts overnight.
It is believed that the rider was travelling northbound on the Ring Road at Douglas when a vehicle is believed to have changed lanes causing the rider to swerve at around 7:00PM on Monday.
As a result, the rider has lost control and was thrown from the bike.
He was located by passing motorists unconscious on the road and taken to the Townsville Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and spoke with police.
Investigations are continuing.
