This Road Safety Week, the Queensland Fire Department has drawn attention to the emotional impact that road crashes have on emergency personnel.
So far this year, QFD crews have responded to 10,000 crashes across Queensland, including 9 fatal crashes in North Queensland – including an 18-year-old man from Mount Louisa who died following an electric scooter crash on Flinders Highway in Roseneath in May.
Chief Superintendent Jason Lawler says road safety is everyone’s responsibility, urging drivers to consider the consequences of their actions on the road.
