The Grand Final win is the fourth WNBL Championship for the Townsville Fire in nine years.
Captain Lauren Nicholson dedicated the win to the team’s loyal fanbase.
“To our loyal fans, this one for you – we can’t wait to get back to celebrate with you tomorrow,” said Nicholson.
“I’m really proud to be a part of a club that just loves women’s basketball and has built this successful program. Our girls truly are amazing, and should be really proud of this outcome. You worked hard for this, let’s celebrate this one.”
