Jason Taumalolo arrived in North Queensland as a 13‑year‑old kid with big dreams. Twenty years later, he’s about to become the first Cowboy in club history to reach 300 NRL games. The 33‑year‑old says it’s been a long journey, and this Saturday against Penrith he’ll hit a milestone only 56 players in premiership history have achieved.

Todd Payten has named an unchanged side for the Round 17 clash, with Taumalolo and Tom Mikaele returning to the starting pack. Jeremiah Nanai keeps his second‑row spot after a strong comeback, while Jaxon Purdue stays in the halves following an impressive performance last week.

From his debut as a 17‑year‑old wrecking ball to premiership glory and a Dally M Medal, Taumalolo has defined the Cowboys for more than a decade.
