A major search operation continues in outback Queensland, after a teenager went missing nearly two weeks ago.
19-year-old Tea Wright-Finger was last seen on October 16, near the town of Richmond, west of Townsville.
A land and air search continued yesterday with police, SES and helicopter support.
Inspector Damien Crosby says they are remaining optimistic.
“Our focus and our priority still remains on locating Tea safe and well,” he says.
It’s believed she was driving a blue Toyota Prado, when she disappeared.
“The Prado, which has been linked to Tea and which Tea was last seen in the vicinity of, was a stolen vehicle,” Inspector Crosby says.
“That Prado was stolen from Proserpine on the 14th of October.”
Police say there is no evidence to suggest foul play is involved
Inspector Crosby is urging anyone with information on her whereabouts to contact police immediately.
“We still are desperately seeking information from the public, any information that may assist us in locating Tea,” he says.
