A unit has been destroyed by a fire on Magnetic Island this morning.
Emergency services were called to the blaze on Mandalay Avenue at Nelly Bay around 5.45am.
Two Queensland Fire and Rescue crews managed to extinguish the fire by 7am.

Paramedics have taken a man in his 40s to Nelly Bay Clinic with an arm injury.
It’s believed a mattress caught on fire, with investigators at the scene.
