A hoax bomb threat caused disruption in Kirwan on Sunday morning.
Police say a 33-year-old man from Yorkeys Knob allegedly made threats about a suspicious device in a vehicle on Timana Street around 7.30am. The street was blocked while officers checked the vehicle, but no device was found.
The man has been charged with falsely stating a bomb was present and is due to appear before Townsville Magistrates Court on 25 August.
