A former nurse has been found guilty of murdering 24‑year‑old Toyah Cordingley at Wangetti Beach, north of Cairns, in October 2018.
Newscorp reports the jury’s verdict was handed down in the Cairns Supreme Court yesterday afternoon, following a four‑week retrial.
Ms Cordingley’s body was discovered by her father after she failed to return from walking her dog. She had been stabbed more than 26 times.

The convicted killer, Rajwinder Singh, fled to India soon after the crime and remained on the run for four years before being extradited back to Australia.
Singh’s sentence is expected to be delivered in court today.
