An Ayr man has been charged with 32 child exploitation offences.
The 48-year-old is accused of offences between January 2021 and July 2023.
On July 28, the man was charged with three counts each of indecent treatment of a child under 16 and possession of child exploitation material and one count of possessing tainted property.
Following further investigations, on August 24, the man was charged with 12 counts of making child exploitation material (CEM), seven counts of using a carriage service to transmit or make CEM available, three counts of indecent treatment of a child under 16 and one count each of recording in breach of privacy, making CEM with hidden network/anonymising service and conduct relating to CEM involving three or more persons.
He will reappear at the Townsville Magistrates Court on September 15.
