Australia’s first locally made rocket is looking like it could take flight again this week.

Thursday is now the day for the launch window for Gilmour Space’s Eris test flight one.

It’s looking promising that the rocket will launch from it’s Bowen launchpad sometime on Thursday.

The rocket was supposed to blast off originally in may – delayed due to a reported electrical fault.

“Our team encountered the issue before fuelling and lift off, which is exactly what ground testing is meant to do,” CEO Adam Gilmour said in May.

“The good news is our team and rocket are both fine. While we’re disappointed by the delay, we’re already working through a resolution and expect to be back on the pad soon,” he said.

“As always, safety is our highest priority. We’ll take the time needed to identify and resolve the issue before resuming launch operations.”
