The 27-year-old said she endured more than a decade of symptoms before being diagnosed with endometriosis. During that time, she often felt dismissed and was told her pain was normal.

In a recent post, Irwin revealed she has had more than 50 lesions removed over the past three years. She also underwent surgery for a cyst, appendix removal and a hernia repair.

Living with chronic pain

Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside it, causing inflammation and severe discomfort. Irwin described the impact as both physically and emotionally overwhelming, saying she felt “trapped” in her own body after years without answers.

Raising awareness

Now recovering, Irwin is using her experience to call for greater awareness around women’s health. She urged others not to ignore ongoing pain and to seek support.

Her story is resonating widely, highlighting the reality of living with an “invisible illness” and encouraging more open conversations about conditions that affect millions of women worldwide.
