Townsville detectives should know more about what caused the suspicious death of a woman has in Railway Estate, as investigations continue today.
A crime scene was set up on Friday at Railway Avenue, after a member of the public found a body near the train tracks around 9.45am. Police have confirmed a post-mortem examination to be conducted today to help Townsville detectives determine the cause of the woman’s death
Detective acting inspector Phil Watts is asking anyone with dashcam of the area, particularly between Doorey Street and Queens Road intersections from June 17 to Friday, to contact police.
“We’re very early on in this investigation so any information from the public would be greatly appreciated,” he said.
“We have a number of investigation areas and following up on a number of different lines of inquiry.”
