Police have arrested and charged a second person, for allegedly kidnapping a 19-year-old Cairns woman and holding her captive for two days.
Police have confirmed a 23-year-old freshwater man was arrested this week for their involvement in the torture and assault of the teen, after a 34-year-old Townsville woman allegedly abducted her from Cairns North on Saturday – the pair are accused of assaulting her multiple times, including with a weapon.
He’s been charged with deprivation of liberty, torture, threats and three counts of common assault and will apear in court today.
