Three teens charged over Townsville crime spree

Townsville police have charge three teenagers with 81 property crime offences alleged to have occurred over the long weekend.

The juveniles were arrested in Vincent on Monday following Extensive investigations by Townsville Criminal Investigation Branch and Townsville Tactical Crime Squad. It’s alleged their crime spree was spread across six suburbs with homes being broken into and vehicles or property stolen.

Two 15-year-old boys and a 16-year-old boy were arrested at a Vincent address Monday afternoon and are facing charges for property crimes offences allegedly committed across Townville including Thorn Street, Mount Louisa, Kokoda Street, Springbrook Parade, Greenbank Pocket and Lakewood Drive, Idalia, O’Connor Street, Tyack Street and Forrest Street, Rosslea, Mango Avenue and Kane Street, Mundingburra, University Road, Newtown Street, Kepler Street and Haldane Street, Wulguru and Nelson Street, South Townsville.

Since April 25, Townsville police have charged 17 people with 125 property offences.
